Child Abuse enquiry appoints Chairman.

Home Secretary Theresa May had a troubled start looking for someone with the skills and experience to run a major enquiry, into the appallingly difficult issue of child abuse in the past and any possible covering up of such crimes,  who was not associated with the British “establishment”.

Last month she took the sensible step of looking outside the United Kingdom and announced the appointment of New Zealand Justice Lowell Goddard. Justice Goddard appeared before the Home Affairs Select Committee on 11th February
